Defcon 5 Armaments was born from a fire that survived fifty years. I grew up loving firearms — the discipline, the responsibility, the freedom — but life never gave me the chance to own or carry. That passion stayed buried, waiting.
Then I moved to Topeka, Kansas, and everything changed. For the first time, I could legally carry, own, and finally live the life I’d dreamed of since childhood. Stepping onto the shooting range felt like stepping into the world I’d waited half a lifetime to join.
But something was missing. Gear was limited. Options were thin. Every shooter around me — friends, coworkers, everyday defenders — felt the same frustration. We deserved better. Our community deserved better.
That’s when the mission took shape.
GMS Tactical — DBA Defcon 5 Armaments — is my answer. A small unit built from passion, forged by purpose, and driven by the belief that Topeka deserves a tactical supply source built by one of its own. We’re growing from the ground up — one customer, one order, one believer at a time.
